Turn Pile

SOILCO has operated turn pile (open windrow) composting at its Wogamia site and understands how and where this process is most beneficial in the Australian market.

Turners drive through the open windrow and inject fresh air into the row of compost and vent waste gases produced by bacteria during the composting process. The oxygen feeds the aerobic bacteria and speeds up the composting process.
